3/16/2024 0 Comments Alfred hitchcock presents blu rayAdd to the massive undertaking it would be, the fact that it jumped back and forth between CBS and NBC (may or may not play a factor as to the masters), then the sad fact that we still haven't had HD releases on a few of his earlier films yet, and it doesn't look good for an HD release of such a massive series as AHP and AHH. From what I have found just searching around, there is apparently no HD scans of the 35mm masters as of yet. ![]() Sadly I doubt an HD release will ever happen for AHP or AHH. Really do hope this series gets the Blu-ray upgrade. ![]() Haven't yet got used to the slight change in theme tune with the fifth season. Well written and witty (including Alfred Hitchcock's opening and closing segments). Like with other anthology series, there is the occasional not-so-great episode, but the majority of the AHP episodes I've watched have been very memorable for the right reasons. The repeat run moves onto the fifth season next Monday evening (Sky Arts show double bills of the show on the days it's on). ![]() I say "selected", it started off with two or three episodes from each of the first three seasons, but I've watched the majority of the fourth season as I've been enjoying it that much (it finishes it's repeat run on Sky Arts this coming Sunday evening/night, but I've been watching episodes on Sky's On Demand service, which currently has all of the first four seasons on there, as well as the first three episodes of Season 5). Since sometime during autumn last year, have been watching selected episodes of anthology series Alfred Hitchcock Presents.
